Local Author Visit
Kathryn Long
Join us on Saturday, December 10 at 2:30 p.m. for an afternoon with local mystery author, Kathryn Long, as she discusses her writing journey and breaking into the publishing world. She will also highlight her latest books, Kill Them with Canvas and Snowed Under Murder.
Kathryn is a native Barbertonian and retired teacher who now spends her days plotting and writing mysteries. She's actively involved in the writing and publishing worlds through her social media platforms, as well as being a member of Sisters in Crime and the International Thriller Writers. She lives with her husband and their furry friend Max in the quiet suburbs of Green, Ohio.
Leveraging a Modern Resume
At 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7 learn how to build an effective resume including common resume myths, what does and does not belong on a resume, and how to put a resume in order by relevance. Attendees will also learn how to create applicant-tracking software-friendly resumes. This career workshop is presented by OhioMeansJobs Summit County.

Join us at noon on December 13th and 27th to improve your flexibility by participating in a free chair yoga class. This gentle program will be led by Colleen Hohl, a 200-hour certified yoga instructor from the Asheville Yoga Center in North Carolina.

Bring your work basket, travel mug, and a snack to discuss the books you've been reading. All crafters are welcome. On Wednesdays, December 14 at 6:00 p.m. and December 28 at 2:00 p.m. at White Rabbit Galleries, 571 W. Tuscarawas Ave., Barberton.
Genealogy Club
The Genealogy Club meets on Tuesday, December 13th at 10:30 a.m. in the historic Board Room. All experience levels are welcome. The meetings often include a short program followed by a discussion and sharing of ideas, resources, and advice. Registration is required.
Everyone is always welcome at this book club. This month's book title is Rebel by Beverly Jenkins. You can read or listen to the book in any format, and attend the discussion in person or via Zoom.
