Beginning Memorial Day weekend, the Barberton Public Library will be closed on Sundays through Labor Day 2023. The Community Health Library and the Barberton Library will be closed on Monday, May 29 for Memorial Day.

Join us on Wednesday, May 17 at 2:30 p.m. for a talk about the Anna Dean Farm and the Barber Mansion. After the program, there will be an opportunity to view a selection of pieces from the Local History Room’s O.C. Barber collection, including stereographs, blueprints, and more.
Friends Event
The annual spring FOL book sale is Friday - Saturday, May 12 - 13 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Refresh your shelves this spring at the Friends of the Library book sale. Books, CDs, and DVDs are all $1. Children's books are two for $1. Cash or checks only at this time, please.

Have a seat at noon on May 9 and 23 and improve your flexibility by participating in a free chair yoga class. This gentle program will be led by Colleen Hohl, a 200-hour certified yoga instructor from the Asheville Yoga Center in North Carolina. No registration is required.

Want to get the most out of Facebook? Attend this class on Mondays, May 8 or June 5 at 2:00 p.m. to learn how to create a Facebook account and access all the features of this social media platform. Attendees must know how to use a mouse and have an email account for this program. Library laptops will be provided in a classroom setting. Registration is required. Please sign up below.
On Saturday, May 27 at 2:00 p.m. add a little bling to your bag (or your jacket, hat, or sweater) with this crafting class. Enjoy the fellowship of other crafters as you design your own creation. All supplies will be provided by the Library. Please register below.
Adult Guardianship Services of Summit County recruits, trains, and supports volunteers serving as guardians to members of our community. A guardian is a trained, compassionate advocate and surrogate decision-maker. If you want to make a difference in the life of a vulnerable person, come learn about how to become and serve as a guardian on Tuesday, May 9 at 6:00 p.m.

The Genealogy Club meets on Tuesday, May 9 at 10:30 a.m. in the historic Board Room. All experience levels are welcome. The meetings often include a short program followed by a discussion and sharing of ideas, resources, and advice. Registration is required.
